GT2 Energia has performed successful tests on the first prototype of an organic Rankine cycle (ORC), made in Brazil. The R&D project was developed by GT2 Energia in the PUC-Rio laboratories, under the act 9.991/2000 of the Agencia Nacional de Energia, ANEEL, sponsored by UTE Norte Fluminense S.A.
This kind of cycle generates energy from lower temperature heat sources and can be used to recover industrial waste heat. |
