In July 2010, GT2 Energia initiated the development of a full scope simulator, which represents the behavior of all the equipment present in the generation process of a combined cycle thermoelectric plant. The project, named System Development of an Online Dynamic Simulation of TEPs’ Operative Conditions, is sponsored by Usina Termelétrica Norte Fluminense within the field of action of Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (ANEEL), and is an innovative tool developed in the Southern Hemisphere. The project will have a 5 year duration and its product will benefit not only UTE Norte Fluminense in its usage in operator training, representing transitory phenomena, and failure diagnosis, among other uses, but will also benefit the entire national electric energy sector. In the future, the methodology developed may be applied to many other kinds of processes and equipment, including the petrochemical, as well as simple cycle thermoelectric plants, coal and even nuclear plants. |
